Generic Depakote i.e. Valproic is an anti convulsant. Generic Depakote i.e. Valproic affects chemicals in the body that may be involved in causing seizures. Depakote is used to treat various types of seizure disorders. It is sometimes used together with other seizure medications. It is also used to treat the manic phase of bipolar disorders i.e. manic-depressive illness and to prevent migraine headaches.

If you missed the Depakote i.e. Valproic medication dose, do take the medicine immediately provided that there is ample of time in between the next dose.
