Evalon Cream

bEvalon Cream is for intravaginal use only./b

Evalon Cream contains the natural female hormone estriol. In the years just before and after menopause estriol can be used in the treatment of symptoms and complaints related to estrogen deficiency.

How To Use


In order to prevent endometrial stimulation the daily dose should not exceed 1 application0.5mg estriol.

Use evalon cream exactly as directed by your health care professional.

Wash your hands before and after each use.

After use pull the plunger out of the barrel and wash both in warm soapy water.

DO NOT use detergents. Rinse well

DO NOT use hot or boiling water to clean the applicator.

sideeffect


Evalon may cause local irritation or itching breast tenderness or pain. These reactions are usually transient but may also be indicative of too high a dose.

If you notice any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.

interaction


There are indications that estrogens can increase the pharmacologic effects of corticosteroids.

It is considered possible that barbiturates carbamazipine griseofulvin hydantoins and rifampicin may decrease the effectiveness of estriol.

Estriol may change the effectiveness of oral anticoagulants and increase the pharmacologic effects of succinylcholine theophylines and troleandomycin.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.

Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.

Over Dose


In case of overdose call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing call local emergency services at 911.

Do not double applications to make up for a missed dose. Consult your health care professional about your missed application.

Evalon Cream is indicated:

For the treatment of vaginal complaints such as dyspareunia dryness and itching.

For the prevention of recurrent infections of the vagina and lower urinary tract.

For the management of miction complaints and mild urinary incontinence.

As pre and post operative therapy in post menopausal women undergoing vaginal surgery.

A diagnostic aid in case of doubtful atrophic cervical smear.
