The generic Frontline Plus i.e. Fipronil is a topical solution that collects in the oils of the skin and in the hair follicles, which is not absorbed into the body and does not circulate through the blood stream. Through the process of translocation, it is spread over the body in about 24 hours. However, the effects of Fipronil lasts for about 30 days and remains effective after bathing or swimming though shampooing should be avoided within 48 hours of application.

Following precautions must be taken during consuming generic Frontline Plus i.e. Fipronil:
1. Let your veterinary doctor know, if you are planning to give any prescribed or non prescribed medicines, pesticides etc. to your pet simultaneously with the generic Frontline Plus i.e. Fipronil medication.
2. Do not use the Frontline Plus i.e. Fipronil medication, if your pet has any kind of allergy to it or to any ingredients of it and consult your veterinary doctor about it and get treated accordingly.
3. Inform your doctor if your pet is pregnant or breast feeding before using Frontline Plus medication. And never use the medication on aged or weak animals.
4. Do not share the drug with other pets unless they are prescribed by the veterinary doctor themselves. And if your symptoms of side effects do not improve in few weeks or if they become worse and bothersome, check your pet’s conditions immediately with your veterinary doctor.
