Sometimes, they may fall victim to the mites, worms or some other kind of insects which are very harmful and result in severe infections to our pets. Usually, they suffer through skin infections. Generic Mitaban i.e. Amitraz belongs to a class of medication known as mono-amine oxidase inhibitor i.e. MAOI. It works by killing the mites from the dogs and also relieves them for the skin’s irritation caused to them.
Please consult the veterinarian for further information before using Mitaban i.e. Amitraz Liquid Dip Concentrate for the exact usage. However, for Dogs – Amitraz Dip Concentrate 25 ml bottle contains 50mg/ml Vet. And for Dogs and Cats - Amitraz Dip Concentrate 12.5 6ml bottle contains 12.5 / ml.
However, avoid handling pets immediately after the treatment. Moreover, humans taking MAOIs need to be cautious when handling Mitaban medication. Remember, it should not be given to pets taking another MAOI such as Anipryl, Selegiline or using a Preventic Tick Collar. Consult your veterinarian about other possible precautions you should take while using Mitaban medication on your dog.
However, before giving the Amitraz Liquid Dip Concentrate i.e. Mitaban medication to your pets, ask your pharmacist or veterinary doctor for a copy of the manufacturer’s information for the pets and read it carefully.  |  | How To Use Mitaban Generic
Follow the directions given by the veterinary doctor exactly for the usage of the Mitaban i.e. Amitraz Liquid Dip Concentrate medication and also read the prescription label carefully. Do not increase your dose or give it more to your pets often than directed. Do not stop taking this medication without your veterinary doctor’s approval. Stopping this drug suddenly may cause you to experience unwanted side effects.
However, your dogs must be washed by dermal application only. Moreover, dosing is based on your condition and this drug’s side effects. It may take a few weeks for this medication to take effect.

If you notice any of the symptoms, which seem severe or persistent to you for your pets, please contact your veterinary doctor immediately. The symptoms may be – Convulsions, Itching, Hyper excitability, Edema, Increased appetite, Increased urination, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Personality change, Skin rash/other skin irritation, Short term sleepiness in treated animals etc.
Inform your veterinary doctor if your pets experience any of these side effects or some new side effects occur which appear too bothersome to you for your pets.

Inform your veterinary doctor if your pet is allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form and also inform your veterinary doctor about any other medication that you may be giving to your pets in any other form. Also discuss your pet’s complete medical history, so that it would be additional information for the doctor to treat your pet exactly.
Remember, please do not give Mitaban to the dogs, which are already on a course of treatment with MAOIs or are diabetic.

Do not give the medication to any other pet without getting your veterinary doctor’s prescription and also avoid using this medicine for other health conditions of your pet on your own. Keep the medicine away from the pregnant women, children etc.
Complete clipping of the coat is recommended for maximum contact with the dip. And the animal should be stress free for at least 24 hours after treatment.

The Mitaban i.e. Amitraz Liquid Dip Concentrate medication is used by veterinarians in the treatment of mange, known as generalized demodectic mange in dogs. This is used as a Itch Relief for dogs and is a well known drug for pets skin care.

Following precautions must be taken during consuming generic Mitaban i.e. Amitraz Liquid Dip Concentrate:
1. It is very important for you to discuss the complete medical history of your pet to the veterinary doctor, before starting the course.
2. Also acknowledge your veterinary doctor if your pet is pregnant, nursing or is very small and young. This is because the Mitaban should not be given to such pets.
3. Let the veterinary doctor also know, if you are giving or are planning to give any prescribed or non prescribed medicines, to your pet.
4. Do not use the Amitraz Liquid Dip Concentrate i.e. Mitaban medication, if your pet has any kind of allergy to it or to any ingredients of it.
5. Tell your veterinary doctor if your pet is pregnant or nursing before giving Mitaban medication or becomes pregnant during the course.
6. Mitaban i.e. Amitraz is also not used on dogs, which are suffering from diabetes or are on MAO medication.
7. Please, use the medicine in the prescribed amount and do not overdose it or use it for the longer period of time. Do not discontinue on your own and consult your veterinary doctor before doing so to avoid further problems for your pet.
8. People who are on a course of medication with MAOIs or are diabetic could have a bad reaction to the use of Amitraz if they personally the administer dips to pets.
9. Remember, Amitraz is not for use in cats and also keep the Mitaban medicine out of reach of children.
